Global AI Code 2nd Edition

A functional Global AI Code for the marketplace must do more than state ethical aspirations. It must provide a practical design foundation that organizations, regulators, developers, auditors, policymakers, and affected communities can use across jurisdictions, sectors, technologies, and risk environments. Because AI systems evolve rapidly and operate through global value chains, the Code must be broad enough to endure technological change, but specific enough to support implementation, oversight, accountability, and remedy. The Global AI Code is therefore built on five design principles: technology neutrality, risk-based governance, respect for rights, interoperability, and adaptability.
